My probelm is the nothing shows on the screen but if I connect a external monitor you can see everthing on the monitor with no problem, I replaced the mother board and vedio card thinking it's a hard ware issue. When I reimaged the hard drive thinking maybe a software is at fault you can see the process on the laptop screen up to the part where you format and it drops teh window xp on to the hard drive, then when it reboots to continue the install within the windows the screen is black and yu can only continue from an external monitor.

Does anyone have any info that can help ?? can it be the the partion has to be done a special way ??

what am I missing

Thanks for any help
