Inspiron N5010 - Boot from SD Card
Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible for my Inspiron N5010 to boot from an SD Card? Is there a way to modify the BIOS to enable this feature or something like that? I think it would be really cool to have Ubuntu on the SD card and just keep my Windows installation intact with the full hard drive to its self.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks! :emotion-1:

You can find the BOOT options under the Boot tab in the BIOS.
Boot options are:
Diskette drive
Hard drive
USB Storage Device
CD/DVD/CD-RW DRIVE
eSATA
Network

How can I get into the BIOS? Pressing F2/F8/DEL just gets me the boot menu for the O/S (Win 7 HP).

Hi Terry, I don't thanks for your reply, but I don't have a sd option in my bios settings, just usb. Could it be modded somehow, or could I apply some sort of update to enable such an option?

Julius
I listed the only options available now, and unfortunately, I don't know if support to boot to SD will be added in the future. I can only suggest to continue to monitor the BIOS upgrades on Dell.com and see if something does become available.
I am sorry that I don't have better news for you.
