Latitude C840 - 4 beeps, 8 beeps, then 8 more beeps on startup
just replaced the cmos battery in the C840, it keeps the BIOS settings, but it beeps 4 times, then a pause, then 2 more sets of 8 beeps, then goes right into Windows
is there a list of what all the beeps mean?

I did some further searching on the forum and found a few posts dealing with beeps and found it may be a keyboard problem, so I disconnected and reseated the keyboard connector and it didn't beep this time on startup
it beeped 4 times then 2 sets of 10 or 12 beeps, it was hard to tell exactly how many
once again this forum has been very helpful, thanx to all!
