Latitude D610 - Question about Installing a DVD player
My sister recently purchased a Latitude D610 and realized it did not have a DVD player, only a CD player. Would it be very hard to install a CD/DVD player? and could someone give me instructions? Also I'm beginning to wonder how old this laptop is and think maybe she should have purchased something newer. Anyone?
By the way it took me almost a half an hour to figure out how to post this on the "new" forum so if it's not in the right spot, please accept my apologies...

if the D600 is the same chasis as the D600 (part#s):

As far as instaling the drive, there should be a screw on the bottom near the drive. IIRC, remove the screw, a lever comes out - you pull the drive out and just push the new drive in it's place.
