Latitude D620 - My power cord is plugged in but the Battery Light is on like its not charging
I had an issue on Friday in which the laptop was using battery power, but I was plugged in. I thought it could be my power cord. I came into the office this morning and switched out the power cords, and it was initially fine. Now the battery light is back on and its acting like its not recoginizing the new power cord.
Can anyone help on what coulde be the problem?

I had this issue once and Dell service had me ensure that there was nothing overloading the power adapter (remove CD/DVD drive, remove hard drive). If the adapter is not overloaded it is an actuall adapter probblem. When I had this problem, the battery light was on and charging but the adapter was indeed faulty. Might need a new one
