Latitude D620 Wireless Switch

I have a Latitude D620 at work that has an intermittent issue.  Sometimes, the wireless switch on the side of the laptop (which turns the Wi-Fi card on and off) acts flaky.  When it is in the off position, the onscreen indicator will pop up out of the blue and show it is either on or off (it varies).  Wiggling the switch usually gets the pop ups to go away and for it to stay off.  Is this a known issue with this model or just a fluke?  It sounds like a hardware problem but I'm wondering if it is possibly a driver/Dell software issue that needs updating on my machine.  The laptop is under warranty but I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced this before contacting them.  Thanks for your help
