Need Help, E6400 Not starting up

I just got my E6400 a couple months ago and this morning I woke up and it would not turn on.  When I hit the power button the screen begins to start up and once it gets to the load menu it stops loading about 1/8th the way there then just turns off completely.  I tried taking the battery out but it will not start at all without the battery in even though it is plugged in through the AC adapter.
