Out of audio

Hello:

I would like your help if someone knows how to fix a problem in my laptop's audio. I cannot listen any sound from videos or the songs in the audio gallery. However, I have checked that my hardware is fine. For example, I can listen the ringtone from Skype call, but I cannot listen the person who is calling.
