Overclocking Dell Inspiron 14z [Intel i7]
Hi, I want to ask if is it possile to overclock the Intel i7 in the Dell Inspiron 14z?
I'm doing a lot of 3D work & rendering with 3Ds Max and would like to overclock the processor speed up higher.
I think the i7-3517u is capable to go up to 3.0Ghz.
Is there a way to overclock it? Can I config it via the mobo?

Hi AvalonVengeance,
This processor supports Intel Turbo Boost Technology which allows it to operate at a power level that is higher than its rated upper power limit (TDP) for short durations to maximize performance (Upto 3 Ghz). The processor does not operate at 3 GHz continuously. However, the BIOS of Inspiron 14z does not have options for the same and you would not be able to use this on system.
Please reply for further clarifications.
