PS3/PS4 connecting to Alienware 17 Laptop (Audio Issue)

I have been playing my ps3 and ps4 with HDMI connectivity on my laptop for a while now and a couple of months ago the audio all of a sudden stopped coming out of my computer speakers. I have no idea how to fix the problem. Someone please help me, the only way that I can hear my game is if I have headphones connected to the system( the ps3/ps4 ). I want to take breaks from wearing headphones but I can't because audio doesn't come out of my laptop speakers. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hello. Sorry for the late reply due to holidays and under the weather.

Disconnect the HDMI cable and reboot the laptop. Open the Playback tab of the Sound properties and make sure that IDT Speakers are set as the default audio device.Test the audio and also try using headphones plugged into the laptop's headphone jack.

If still no audio through speakers or headphones, download and install a fresh copy of the IDT audio driver for the M17xR3 with Windows 7 (if that is your model and OS). Test through speakers and headphones.
