Possible to boot Inspiron 1000 from a USB Memory stick?

Subject line kind of says it all. I have an Inspiron 1000 with the latest BIOS (A08 ?) and I have been unable to boot from a UBS 2.0 Flash drive. Is this possible with the 1000?

If my memory serves me correctly you should be able to boot from a USB memory key with that model laptop. The booting order should be set for USB device and your memory key must be bootable.
