Problem to reboot my Dell Inspiron 1525

I have a problem to reboot my Dell inspiron 1525. My daughter was using the laptop and suddenly it was dead. The message said (on a black screen): "No bootable devices -- strike F1 to retry boot. F2 to setup utilit, Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics" I tried to press F1, the same message appeared. Last time the laptop died, I pressed F8 to reset everything to the factory setting, it worked. But this time, it did not work. Any suggestions?
