Problem w/ touchpad buttons not working for Inspiron 15R 5520 laptop

 Inspiron 15R 5520 laptop - Both buttons don't do a thing. Yesterday, I spent 129 minutes (over 2 hrs!) on my cellphone w/ some tech person from India who tried several times, including taking control of my laptop so they could reinstall drivers. After 2 hrs of unsuccessfully trying to install a driver, of all things, I had to stop and go pick up my son from school. So they closed the ticket, and said to call back and they will continue with where they left off.

I have 2 more days left until my warranty expires. Yet I cannot afford to burn any more cell phone minutes talking with people in India b/c I'm only 40 hrs away from exceeding my monthly allot of minutes, and have  more 10 days to go.

I'm almost certain it's hardware related, ( ie the buttons aren't making contact with the board,) than drivers related. How can I convince Dell that I want to escalate this issue to have this part replaced under warranty?
