Studio 1555 battery "charging" but not really, stuck at 15%
Hi all, I have this problem: yesterday I used my studio on the battery (until I think about 10%), then I shutdown and connected the AC power to recharge. This morning, the battery icon is stuck at 15% charge ("plugged in, charging") after several hours of recharging.
Something similar happened once and it went away just rebooting, not this time! I tried disabling Dell Extended Battery Life, no luck. Uninstalling Windows' ACPI battery control method, nothing changes. All indicators say the battery is performing OK.
Please help! Thanks!
(Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, Dell battery meter installed)

Ok I was able to fix this behavior by shutting down, unplugging battery and AC, holding down the power button for about 30 sec (read it on some other forum). Putting it all together again, the battery charges normally. Maybe just removing all power sources and putting them back does the trick.

I think that sometimes the capacitors in the system get overcharged & doing what you just did clears them out of all remaining power. I've seen this on HP/Compaq machines a lot too.
