Upgrade Studio 1537?

Hi people,

I have a 1537 with intel core p8600 and run 4GB ram.  Win 32bit system.

I need more speed (power) as i have progressed to movie editing programs, 

I was thinking of installing a new intel  i7 820qm processor..........if its possible   do i need to have a win 64bit os and more ram

to get the benifits  and is it possible to get more preformance out of my 1537?

You teck smart people may have guessed that I'm somewhat ignorant about  specks and Op systems... but I'm learning)))

any help would be appreciated
