Upgraded BIOS on Inspiron 5100 to A26 and now battery light does NOT turn on.

Question

Why does my battery light no longer turn on when it is either charging or fully charged on my Dell Inspiron 5100?  It used to do so, but that is no longer working.  Any ideas or tweaks that I can make?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Search - covered numerous times.  It is working as it should - off when the battery is charged, on when it is charging, blinks as it tops off the battery.

Thanks.  The update changed the function of the battery from blinking when charging and off when fully charged.  I followed it, updated my ATI Radian 7500 driver, and installed Quickset which also took care of the Function F10 key not opening the CD bay.
