XPS 14Z still with no solution
Thanks to thenorman123 and everyone. Still stacked on a black screen and the 8 beeps on my xps 14z. I went to dell shop in Lima yesterday, where I am at the moment, and they said cannot do aynthing for me because the service is just for business customers. I have to say that at first I had this problem last january, then I tried pushing F12 and got it working again, but now this does not work more. I will be pleased if anyone knows what to do in this case. Thanks indeed.

could it be the link cable inside the hinge?

8 beeps usually refers to a display panel failure -- if you're out of warranty, try reseating both ends of the cable that runs between the mainboard and the display panel.
If you're in warranty let Dell deal with the repair.

Thanks to everyone, particularly Phil6697, ejn63', the roman 123.i did what you sad. I checked and unplugged the display connector , and plugged in it again. The 14z works fine now. Thanks a lot.
