XPS M1330 registry problem keeps it from Playing DVD movies
Hi,
The drive works fine, I can read data disks just fine, but when I watch a movie, I always have to delete the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2 registry key and restart before each movie. If I do that, the movie plays fine, but as soon as I pop out the disk and try to watch a different DVD movie, Vista 32-bit Home Premium won't recognize the movie.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be? The notebook is less than a month old and I haven't installed any software, save for FireFox and AVG.
Thanks!

OK - Solved my own problem. This thread on SysInternals got me pointed in the right direction:

I went to Start, then Default Programs. Selected Change AutoPlay Settings. Here, I changed the AutoPlay default for DVD movie from MediaDirect to Windows Media Player. That did the trick.
