XPS Ultrabook 13 inch - wrong display ratio!

Hi, I just bought this laptop. Its a great product, but there is one major weakness. I get a headache (no joke) of the ridiculous display ratio. The problem is that the resolution is stretched. In the display options one can only choose between 1024x768 and 800x600. But hello, this is not the proper ratio for a widescreen! Not only the pictures get 'fat'now, but also the text quality is bad. The driver is new and I dont know how to adjust it. Pleaes someone help me out (thx)!

Are you using Windows as installed by Dell, or did you load Windows yourself?

It sounds like the video adapter drivers are not installed.

Hi, i solved it. I was confused because in the Windows 7 configuration i checked whether the driver was uptodate and it said that is was uptodate. But it appeared to be an old, bad driver from 2006. I installed the driver from the dell support site and now the screen resolution is excellent. So what i ve learned today is that i shouldnt trust windows and check manually for driver updates.
