inspiron 1011, when i type @ i get ", when i type " iget \
This is a new netbook with the software just installed and the language set to english UK
Has anyone any ideas, before i ship it back to Dixons, who are unable to help me.

Are you sure all the settings are on English UK because there are a few. What operating system are you using? In Vista go to control panel and choose the regional and lanquage options. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and click the "Change Keyboards" button. In the General Tab make sure its set at English(united kingdom) . If not click the "add" button and scroll to it and add it. In the window of the general tab make sure EN English(united Kingdom)-Keyboard-United Kingdom is highlighted in blue then click apply.

Many thanks for response: Netbook is running Windows XP and as far as i can see the language is set to English UK
