lcd screen
My laptop boots up but my screen is black. No picture comes on. I
have to unplug the ac plug that connects to my laptop and then remove
the battery and plug these two things back in. Then my laptop screen
shows picture.
What is wrong with the laptop? the lcd screen or the battery?

Hi buyfromme77777,
Welcome to the Community,
Just to confirm if its an issue with LCD, connect your system to an external display ( Example monitor from a desktop system), see if you get display when you first turn on the system ( without having to remove battery and unplug charger).
If you get picture on the external display,it an issue with the system LCD.
Also try opening and closing LCD screen, when the system is turned on and see if that makes the difference.
