Problem with sysprep on clean image of 1809 windows 10 pro

Hi,

so I'm doing for the first time a image for dell. We got image assist from the dell about two weeks ago and  since then i still struggle to resolve my issue. I had problems with sysprep with microsoft store app(I saw many discussion about this in internet) so unplug the laptop from the internet(I did images on dell latitude laptop and also on virtual machine). I tried also sysprep in IA without any of my company apps - still no resolving my problem. I've tried on clean image of 1809 and 1803.

This I see on sysprep stage in ImageAssist:

blad ia.jpgAnd this I found in the logs:

Your better off doing this with a VM and using a fresh windows 10 installation and rebuilding your image.  Run the tool to verify the image with capture.  I used to do this on a laptop, and the amoutn of drivers that it downloaded was problematic..to say the least.

I've spend countless hours tracing down the issues and working with windows app.  Not worth it in the end.

Hello, with DIA, a best practice is to build in a VM and do the Windows updates offline. After you use a fresh install of the media in a VM, on another system go to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10/release-information and download the update. Add it to a usb key and run in the VM. Keeping the VM off internet is a good practice so that Microsoft apps do not download. If this problem persists, please contact our help desk to log an incident. US - OS Imaging Support

I had the same BCD error in my sysprep log too. The solution that worked for me was to use the newest version of DIA. https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln311270/dell-imageassist
