Fresh install Vista drivers

I have a Dell 518 desktop 3.0 ghz, 4gb, 320gb HD,and was running Vista that I had since new.  The hard drive went bad and I bought another- not new (same make and model Western Digital-WD Caviar Blue 320GB Internal DESKTOP 7200RPM 3.5" (WD3200AAKS-75L9A0) HDD).  I have been trying to re-install Vista, but then it states to load the drivers. My Dell never came with a driver/ utility disc for Vista. I've tried to load the Dell drivers, downloaded from Dell site onto a USB stick and then tried a number of times to install them; didn't work.  I would appreciate any help.

Thank You

Drivers are not needed for install if you use ATA mode instead of AHCI mode in bios for SATA Operation.  Widows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer s hardware.
