Inspiron 3847, GT 710
I’m looking to upgrade my graphics card on my Inspiron 3847, would a GT 710 work? Also, if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

Several vendors cards for GT710 730 740 do not work at all. Not sure why. A GT1030 however will work fine.
There are 2 restrictions. When you put a card in the slot Onboard HDMI is disabled. You must have Secure boot OFF and CSM Legacy Option Roms on. AVOID GT1030 cards that use DDR4 as they are horrible.

If thats too expensive I would recommend an HD6450 2 gig card. Any card whether NVIDIA OR ATI will require SECURE BOOT OFF and Legacy Option roms ON.
