Inspiron 5675, GPU upgrade, GeForce GTX 1050 Sc or Ti

All,

Replacing RX 570 for GeForce GTX 1050 Sc or Ti. Not a huge gamer just want something reliable and runs cooler and as little noise as possible.

3GB Card

or

4GB Card

Either card requires  minimum of 300 watt PS so the INSP-5675 with a 460 watt PS should be fine.

Thoughts and advice are greatly appreciated. Selecting a video card is not my strong suit so I appreciate any replies.

The GTX1050 uses considerably less power than the RX570.

I replaced mine with a GTX 1050 2GB, which required me to reset the CMOS, but worked fine afterward.

Non Dell Cards will Require Secure Boot OFF and CSM on.

Other than that there should be no issues.

The card I installed was a Gainward, I didn't have to uncheck secure boot nor enable anything else.

I only had to reset the CMOS.

Thanks to all of you who replied. Greatly appreciate the information. Question for The_Coolest why did you have to reset cmos? Just curious. Thanks again to all!

Because after I switched the cards, it wouldn't boot and blinked an amber led at me.

Secure boot will not allow non OEM cards to post so in your situaton Secure boot was disabled.

Ok,

Thanks for your response The_Coolest. Speedstep, thanks as well. I removed Secure Boot when I installed Windows 10 with a clean install. I am installed in Legacy mode. I should have no issues when I receive my card from Amazon. Thanks for the clarification!
