Inspiron 5680, GPU upgrade

Is there a way I can upgrade my GPU? If so, which ones are compatible with my desktop?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @EmptyPools ,

Purpose of running this benchmark tool is to prove if your existing PSU in normal function when work with the new GPU under high loading. Demo version should be good enough.

I am thinking of doing the same thing as you and I was wondering what brand you used for the 1660ti or does it matter

20191115_195601.jpg20191114_124635.jpgI can confirm that the GTX 1660 works just fine.

I am now looking to upgrade to the CORSAIR CX650M PSU and the I7-8700 CPU which both will work just fine as well.

Also here are the OC setting that firestorm computed.

Once I have the money and a beefy enough power supply myself, I might think about swapping my GTX 1060 3 GB for an RTX 2060

sorry that im a bit late on this thread, but i have two questions

1. Could I get an RTX 2060 to work on the stock 460w PSU, I have the 5676 with a Ryzen 7 2700 (Non x) and an RX 580. The CPU draws 70-75w on max load and the GPU draws about 130-135w max load, not sure about other components but I have a 1TB 7.2k HDD, dell x370 mobo, 2x8GB sticks samsung ram, and a 2.5 in ssd

2. Would the motherboard detect the RTX 2060

I dont mind disabling secure boot I just want to get a quieter and more powerful GPU

My backup plan is the 1660Ti which obviously works as I was reading through the forums

@RakeYohn007 Hi, did you have to do anything to the 460W Power Supply and did the power leads all go in easy. I have the same 5680 with a 1060 6gb Graphics Card I wnt to replace. Any comments would be welcome
