Inspiron One 2020, installing SSD
Hello everyone. Today I’m having a problem with my Inspiron One 2020. I’m looking to get more performance out of it so I did a few upgrades. Installed two 4GB RAM cards and a i5 processor. Removed the HDD and added a SSD. Then installed windows 10 on it. The old hard drive came with windows 8. Everything seemed to be working but I noticed that the PC is now Lagging on download or running programs. Magician is telling me that AHCI is not on or SATA is off. What am I doing wrong?

Did you get all the windows 10 updated drivers from Dell?

I ran SupportAssist and the desktop seems to be up to date on everything. But I did get an error : Hardware Scan Result (Manual) - Default scan - No Device
- USB Composite - No Device
- USB - No Device .
Samsung Magician is telling me - AHCI Deactivated
- Trim Status Enabled
My interface is Sata 3.0 but in Bios I can’t Switch to AHCI. The only option tha it gives me is ATA. The SSD replaced the original hard drive. On the main board there is only 2 SATA ports . One goes to the hard drive and the other goes to the DVD drive.
Any thoughts on this?
