Inspiron ??, hum sound in video recording

I needed help to improve the quality of audio in my video recording. I record my screen using Camtasia and voice with a USB mic ( dragon Nuance). In between the recording, there is hum which comes and goes. This ruins the experience for what could be a crystal clear recording. Please advise what I could do to resolve this issue.

Audio "hum" is generally a "ground loop hum" (60Hz hum) because of two AC powered audio devices connected together.  But in this case it does not sound like the typical ground loop hum.

Do you get the hum, only with the microphone connected?  Connect the mic and turn up volume to see if you hear the hum.   Also do a recording with Camtasia (no mic connection) and see if you get it.  Have to isolate what may be causing it.  Just saying there is a hum doesn't really help troubleshooting.

Also, post what specific model Inspiron you have and what (specific) speakers you are using.
