RAM for Inspiron 560 Desktop PC

Hello all,

I have a question. I have just recently acquired a Dell Inspiron 560 Desktop PC, this is the big PC not a slimline version and I need to buy some RAM for the machine as this was removed prior to me buying it.

Could you tell me what RAM I need to buy for it please?

I usually check this on the Crucial memory website but it doesn’t tell me what RAM the PC takes. I take it that they don’t stock it.

Thanks!

Do you happen to know what DDR3 RAM it takes?

Depending on the CPU, DDR3-1066 or 1333.

The PC has a Intel Core 2 Quad CPU if that helps?

DDR3 1066 will be fine -- that said, make sure you find a vendor that knows your system.  It's old -- and older systems very often require low density RAM (which is now not made any longer -- and perhaps why Crucial doesn't stock it).  You may need to buy used memory for this system.

Its not on crucial anymore cuz like DDR2 they seem to have dropped it FOREVER.
