10/100 mbps but 125 mbps required for 4k streaming on TV

I just bought a new inspiron 5000 5593 i5 10th to replace my old i5 2rd generation.

My ethernet seems to be stuck at 100 mbps.

I try to stream using steamlink 4k on my tv but it say 125 mbps required. I made a test and it say only 1440p is available (75 mbps required for 1440p) and I'm reaching only 94 mbps on speedtest.

Is it normal that my old notebook can stream 4k easily but the new one cannot stream. My old notebook speedtest is 380 mbps and sync at gigabit.

I tried to replace my cable with cat6a but it doesnt change nothing, I also replaced the router with an Asus AX88 but it stuck at 100 mbps.

@xwildx  The reply above is correct.  For some reason even though Dell has included Gigabit Ethernet as standard on their business-oriented Latitude lines going back at least to 2003 (if not farther), for some reason 10/100 Ethernet has held on in the Inspiron line.  The only alternative to replacing your system would be to get a Gigabit Ethernet to USB 3.0 adapter.

If you're using wired Ethernet, you may want to consider returning the system and ordering a higher-line model. The Ethernet in this model is 10/100.  If you need more, you either need a different system or will need a USB 3.x Ethernet adapter (the onboard wired Ethernet cannot be upgraded).

Thanks for your help, I found an adapter on amazon USB ethernet gigabit for 15$.

They should put gigabit as a standard alot of ISP is faster than 100 mbps.
