AC power vs Battery

I have a Dell Inspiron 3168 Windows 10 notebook. Can I run this on AC power only so I don't have to keep charging the battery? The battery runs down quick.

What happens if the battery charges to 100% and I leave it plugged in AC power. Is that ok?

Welcome to the Dell Community  @DennyStar

Your laptop comes with a "SMART" AC adapter.

It uses the center pin to communicate with the system.

It is used to regulate the charging and discharging of your battery.

Your system may also have "Dell Power Management"

You can adjust it to fit your needs.

So you should have no problem running on AC only.
