@ysmz

If you have the "Half Length" battery then you have enough room to add a SATA SSD.

The service manual shows a "Half Length" and a "Full Length" M.2 that takes up the same slot. "One Slot"

If you use a "Half Length" M.2 you must use a "Solid State Drive Bracket"

Best regards,

U2

Some stuff in japan Dell said that 7590 has only 1*M.2 SSD.

And for 3 Cell battery model has another 2.5" SATA SSD.

But service manual shows 7590 has 2 * M.2 SSD.

And I could find a youtube video about adding extra M.2 SSD to existing M.2 SSD.(Total 2.5TB of M.2 SSD)

I really want to know which is correct...

Thank you, U2.

1) 1 * M.2.

2) And if i select half length battery, I can add extra SATA drive in it.

So, the above is WRONG.

Don't know why the official specs don't list it, but the Isnpiron 7590, i5, GTX 1650 (which I'm typing on) has 2 x NVME slots (and read of others with i7 reporting same).

It comes with the default, small (whatever its called) NVME, and another m.2 2280 NVME slot that I've installed an extra NVME into, and it's working fine.

I ALSO have the half length battery so have space for another SSD, which I will fill when I get the entirely overpriced sata ribbon cable that DOES NOT SHIP WITH THE UNIT (boo, Dell, boo).

So, by end of next week my Inspiron 7590 should have:

1. Default NVME.

2. 2nd NVME (tested, working).

3. SSD (yet to test).

Re: RAID, considering this ships with RAID as default BIOS settings, I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Windows 10 can work with RAID for boot (been running that on last laptop for years), it's in BIOS, so yeah. But haven't tested.
