Can my DELL Inspiron N5010 laptop run Intel Core I5?
Hi, I have N5010 laptop, Runs games fine but 3D games kind of laggy but i don't mind a little of lag, But i would love to fix that. I have Intel Core I3 and it's old in like 2010 or 2011, I saw a COMPLETE same looking laptop sold and it's DELL Inspiron N5010 like mine and same keyboard, Mouse, Front looking, Right & Left looking, Even when you flip it It haves the SAME texture/Theme and same size and same colors and same drivers and windows 7 64 bit JUST LIKE mine (Pretend it's a copy of my laptop) It says it haves 4GB and Intel Core I5 and runs by smooth, I was wondering if i can upgrade my intel core i3 to i5 but safety is first, So i wanted to ask here if my device can run intel core i5. I have 2GB though. Please answer and thank's.

Your other post says Intel Core i3-370M.

i3-370M is your current CPU.
i7-640M is the best CPU you can upgrade too.
They both have the same K0 "Steppings"
They both have the same Wattage rating "TDP"
The performance value after the upgrade "128.1%"

And it's old and laggy because it's the first generation, So i wanted to see if i can upgrade it to intel core i5?

Yeah i know it's intel core i3 the same but i want to upgrade it to intel core i5 there is the exact same laptop i saw it was sold and haves 4GB and intel core i5 and it's like a copy of my laptop but better so can i upgrade to intel core i5? will it work without problems?

I'm not so perfect in laptops my uncle works as laptop seller and fixer.
I'm just going to let him know which processor to replace, Just let me know as a yes or no if my Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop with 2GB Intel Core I3 run a beter CPU such as Intel Core I5 because there is the EXACT EXACT same laptop AS MINE just like a copy of my laptop and it's sold (same color, Same right side, Screen size, Windows 7 64-bit, keyboard, Mouse..ect) Even when i flip my laptop i have the same theme as it and its a dell inspiron n5010 TOO BUT it haves 4GB and Intel Core I5 so i was wondering if my laptop can run intel core i5 and increase RAM my uncle can do that for me i'm just curious if it works fine.
