Can't install My Dell from Windows Store
Hi,
I purchased Dell 5590 last year. I recently did a reinstall of Windows removing everything. While I managed to install all Dell apps after reinstall, I am not able to install My Dell app from the Store, which helps in running diagnostics, etc.
Appreciate any tips on this.
If that matters.

I have purchased Dell Inspiron 3593 last week. I upgraded my windows 10 from Home to Pro using a clean reinstall and updated it. But now I am unable to install apps like My dell, dell mobile connect from Microsoft store. It is showing the app is not compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards

I'm actually experiencing this too. I did a system reset with SupportAssist OS recovery which installed stock windows without any dell apps or pre-installed software like my 12 months of McAfee. They literally tried to make me pay them for "tech support" for an incompatibility issue they created. Worst part is you can't even factory reset because OS recovery disabled it; you can only cloud install latest. And I'm beyond confused why that cloud image has nothing on it. I only had to reinstall because the screen refused to turn on after 2 hours after repair failed to correct it. Dell customer experience is unforgivable, especially after I paid for a $2k laptop.

Same thing but on XPS 9500, a new machine, did a clean Windows install, got no Dell apps now, Windows store is saying it's incompatible and suggests to redeem some code instead of installing the app. I tried the method from that reddit thread where Dell support posted a script to modify registry but that didn't help.

I have exact same problem, also on an XPS 15 9500 that I bought a month ago. I am starting to regret this purchase after spending more than 2000€ on it...

Hi Guys!
I Solved that by doing:
1 - Enter Microsoft store using cellphone
2 - Log in Microsoft account
3 - Look for My Dell app and click on it
4 - Click in "Get"
5 - Choose you Dell device on list
6 - Install in my computers
7 - Enjoy!!!!

I got the same problem too, I letting SupportAssist OS Recovery format the disk on my Dell G3 15 3500, so I lose my factory image. The Windows that SupportAssist OS Recovery install for me have no Dell app, and my background was lost too. I searched on the Dell website, I just found three apps. You shall search on the Dell website, maybe you can found a bit app.

My issue was resolved by contacting support. Apparently some changes are required in the Registry to install OEM specific apps. Sadly, I don't remember what changes were made.
FYI this is not a Windows Bug, something by design.

Lol. I think I've accidentally found a way. On the top right of that wish list there are three dots.
Select it and ask for it to install on all your devices. Then it starts downloading and installing automatically.
This is kinda hilarious.
