Hello,

On the laptop that has the problem make sure that:

  1. The bios is up2date.
  2. The wireless card driver is up2date
  3. Airplain mode is disabled
  4. is wifi disabled using a dedicated keyboard shortcut ? for your model this is fn +printscr as you can see in this manual
  5. press windows key +r type devmgmt.msc any yellow exclamation marks under networkadapters ?
  6. press windows key +r type ncpa.cpl right click your connection => disable wait a while and reenable

Hi

Step 1 Establish whether there is a Wi-Fi adapter, or just a pice of broken circuit board.

WINKEY + R
type in the little window

cmd /f

a dosbox /CLI screen appears, type

ping 127.0.0.1

C:\>ping 127.0.0.1

Pinging 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

Post the result please.

You can make further pings to these IP numbers ...

13.107.4.52

Covers most ISP modems.
192.168.0.1

192.168.1.1

if in doubt please ask.

I would suggest you update the drivers to the latest and check for issue resolution. Please punch in the system service tag or express service code from the link below. Then Click on System configuration tab and then Click on Components and find the wireless card of the system and then download the wireless card driver found under Network section.

If you are not able to determine the wireless card. Please private message me the system service tag so that I can check and provide you the correct driver.

Please let me know if this helps.
