Electronic buzzing/grinding noise with Inspiron 7000 gaming laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 gaming laptop, and I’ve been having an issue playing back any type of media: audio, video, video games, etc.

Every 20 minutes or so, I get a strange electronic buzzing/grinding noise. It lasts for a quick second, then everything resumes as normal.

My BIOS is updated and all my drivers are updated. My laptop is running fine otherwise with no other issues. I’ve tried uninstalling my Avast anti-virus with no success. I used a free program (can’t remember the name) to stress-test my hardware components. I’ve run diagnostic tests on Dell’s website as well. Everything came back fine, which leads me to believe it could be a software issue.

I don’t know if this is a common issue with a quick fix or not. I’ve looked around on these forums, but haven’t found a definitive solution..

I have been having this problem ever since I updated my graphics card driver. Did you ever find a solution?
