Error installing drivers for Premium Active Pen PN579X on Inspiron 7386 2-in-1

Recently purchased an Inspiron 7386 2-in-1 along with a Premium Active Pen PN579X. I was trying to install the latest drivers for this but I keep getting a message saying "A supported tablet was not found on the system." Managed to pair the device via Bluetooth and made the buttons work and I initially couldn't understand why the pen wouldn't work then changed the mode (I'm assuming from) AES to MPP and I'm able to use the pen now. Couldn't find much detailed literature about the modes. I'm just hoping someone could explain the difference between the two and if it has an effect given the error message.
