G5 15 5590 slow SSD

My G5 arrived a few days ago with a 128G SSD (KBG30ZMS128G).  When tested, it has a sequence write speed of ~120MB/s which is ridiculously slow for a SSD and sometimes even slower than the HDD coming with the machine.

Contacted tech support but they insisted that there's no hardware problem. Any one seeing the same issue? Is this fixable at all?

I might have to return it if that's all the speed they can provide. Even my 6 yrs old sata SSD can write at 500MB/s.

I have the G5-15 5587 and the I ordered the 256GB M.2 SSD. This is the speed that I got on CDM

I found that it was too slow so I replaced it with a M.2 NVMe 1TB Samsung 970 EVO.

I would actually consider 300MB/s for a stock SSD to be somewhat acceptable, although it is by no means fast. 100MB/s is a joke...
