G7 15 7588 No Audio Output Device Installed

After a Windows update today I tried to play spotify and was unable. At the taskbar I get a red "x" and the message: "No Audio Output Device is Installed."

I tried to update the sound drivers from Device Manager but they all showed up to date. I tried from the Dell Support and the Intel website, all claim I have the latest drivers. But I tried to run the sound card diagnostic test but was unable because the driver was "either not installed or installed incorrectly." 

I also noticed in Device Manager that the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED driver appears to be not working but again Dell/Intel seem to thing its up to date. Not sure if that is relevant
