Inspiron 14, 2.1 USB sound kit

I have an Inspiron 14, simply wonderful. I bought a 2.1 USB sound kit to install on it. It stayed on for a few hours with these speakers and when I came back it was off and did not call anymore even if it's plugged in. As for its power cord, if connected to the Inspiron 14 and to the socket the "box" light of the cable does not turn on. But if it is plugged in but not connected to the Inspiron 14, the light turns on but it shuts off as soon as connected to the Inspiron 14. Any suggestions for him to work again? I think I messed up buying this 2.1 kit but I really wanted to keep using this Inspiron 14.
