Inspiron 15 3567 ram upgrade

I want to upgrade ram for my Dell Inspiron 4gb ram, i3 processor, Windows 10 home. Can I buy 8 GB ram to make it 12 GB. Will it affect my laptop? Reply fast I will be very thankful to you.

Yes you can just install the 8GB for a total of 12GB.

But you will not take advantage of "Dual Channel" memory.

That's why most people install "Matching Pairs"
