Inspiron 15 5000 series slot

Hello, I"m planning to buy an m.2 ssd for my Inspiron 15 5000 series
I saw some videos on YT and I found out that the ssd slot looks like this m2 slot.png

The one that I'm planning to buy looks like this that has two notches
here's it's link to make sure about the specifications : https://www.tunisianet.com.tn/disques-ssd/31823-disque-dur-team-group-ms30-ssd-m2-2280-128-go.html

M.2-2280-128Go-B

My question is :
If I buy that ssd tha has two notches and looks like the image below noted with B+M will it work on my pc that
seems to support ssd with only one notch (like the one in the pic below note with M over it)
Thank you

Thanks for that information. The 5570 will take either a SATA SSD or an NVMe/PCIe SSD in the M.2 slot. I would again recommend the NVMe as it is much faster, generally around 3000-3500 MB/s as compared to around 500 MB/s for the SATA SSD.

That would be fine and should work well. Glad to help out !

Not knowing which exact model you have (the 5000 is a series and not a model number). it is hard to give you complete information. But generally if I understand your question the 2 slot, as you put it, is a SATA SSD and the single slot is NVMe/PCIe and that drive is 5x faster than SATA. But again I would need the exact model to look up the specs.

I would recommend you to buy NVMe/PCle SSD to fit it into the M.2 slot.

It would exactly fit into the slot of SSD.

The slot you showed in the picture is for SATA SSD.

SATA SSD can be as fast as NVMe SSD but the SATA interface limits its speed.

So I would suggest you use NVMe SSD instead.

Regards.

One 2.5" SATA SSD only - no M.2 support in the 5567.
