Inspiron 15 with new batteries.

Just picked up two of these at a yard sale without the batteries.  They power on with the charger but with the new batteries installed the error message indicates that they are incompatible and system will not charge them although Windows 10 Pro shows a full charge after login but the same error message keeps showing up at boot.  ?????

Help!!!

Thank you for your message. Are you using original OEM batteries?

What is the system model in the Inspiron 15 series?

Does the system work if you disconnect the AC adapter (when battery shows fully charged)?

Most of the 3rd party batteries will have this error message. Although the battery information may be similar on paper they may not have the correct wattage & amps unless purchased a genuine battery manufacturer.

Check the battery status in BIOS. Disconnect the power cord & remove the battery press & hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Connect the battery & power cord back in & start the computer, tap f2 to get into BIOS & check the status of the AC adapter & battery.
