Inspiron 15R N5110 - 7 Beeps
Doing some research, it seems like the solution to this is replace/reseat the cpu. Is this right?
I haven't opened it to make any changes - is it safe to say it is just dead?

It's worth a CPU reseat, yes - but seven beeps can be either a bad CPU or a bad mainboard. In many more cases than not, it's the latter that's bad, not the former.
