Inspiron 3541, shuts down
Hello
My laptop shuts down after an hour or so. The battery is charged and I didn't press the 'shut down' button.
I ran 'hardinfo' and it shows the temp to be around 50 degree celcius.
What do I do?
Please advise. Thanks.

The fan is ok. I got my laptop checked by an expert. He said the "temperature ic" has got spoilt. I got that replaced, and then the laptop took 1-2 hours to shutdown instead of 10-15 mins.

I think the issue is with your fan.
Upon startup the system does a check to make sure all hardware is present.
If the fan is faulty and doesn't get detected or doesn't work fine the system is bound to shut down instantly.
This is a theory though, so please confirm if your fan is working when you press the power button or no
