How much RAM do you have and what type drive (HDD or SSD)? It may be that your drive is filling up and slowing the system down or if an HDD, it could be having problems. Also run an anti virus check just to be sure the system is clean. Was the system running properly and have you installed any new programs or changed any hardware? Run diagnostics (F12 immediately at boot) and watch for any errors such as drive or RAM.
