Inspiron 5482 2-in-1 has no backlit keyboard

Hi,I recently bought an Inspiron 5482 2-in-1 Service Tag: . After a few days of use (it was a gift for my wife, so she was the user), she found that the keyboard has no backlight. After trying a few things, I checked the System Configuration and sure enough it said "no backlight keyboard".

I find that disappointing because it seems to me that any premium laptop, especially one that provides island keys, would come with a backlit keyboard.

Am I wrong in thinking that? Is there any way to upgrade to a backlit keyboard on this laptop?
