Inspiron 5559 Keyboard Backlit not working

Hi there,

I have Dell Inspiron 5559 with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, and the Keyboard backlit is not working anymore, I tried almost every post in this matter but no luck:

* I checked the BIOS for anything blocking this

* I installed Dell Quickset, but didn't find the backlit exe file there

* I tried pressing F10 alone, and with Fn key, and with the Shift key

any suggestions?

Hi,

Something here might be of use..

.

Also, try Windows in Safe-mode;

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Failing that, hopefully your laptop is still under warranty - Get onto Dell Support.

Good Luck!

Best Regards

Kev

Thanks Kev600,

unfortunately, my laptop is not under warranty,

I tried to follow the guide in the first link, I downloaded "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack" and tried to install it, but the installer asked me to uninstall the version installed first, the problem is no other version of "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack" is installed !! I checked the Control Panel and the Start Menue with no luck !!
