Hello, suddenly i have gray pixels in center of my screen. Is it bad connector or screen failure?  ThanksIMG_20190525_224224.jpg

We cannot see the graphic. Only you can. Attach an external monitor to test.

Welcome to the Dell Community  @Cucooooo

Until a "Moderator" approves of the photos only you can see them.

Until we can see them try a "Flex Test"

While the laptop is booted and the screen is on.

Grab the display at the upper left and right corners.

Then push one side forward and the other side backwards about 1/2" to 1"

Repeat back and forth. "Flex Test"

Post any change in the display???

Best regards,

U2

@Cucooooo

External display works fine!!!

"Flex Test" has no effect!!!

Sounds like the LCD display panel???

Let you know for sure when the pictures get approved.

I will check back every once in a while.

U2

@Cucooooo

Sorry but it looks like it is the LCD display.

The best thing to do is remove enough screws to see the Model/Part number.

This way you can order an exact replacement.

Inspiron 17 5000 Service Manual:

Good luck,

@Cucooooo

It is something I have seen 100's of times!!!

We save all of our defective laptops.

Then strip them and test every component that we can.

Then those parts are used to refurbish other laptops.

I have seen it many, many times before.

Hi @Cucooooo  you do an LCD test on your system. To run the LCD BIST (Built in Self-test) first power off the computer. Then while holding the 'D' key on the keyboard push the power button and then release both of them at the same time.

This will initiate a white screen, then red, then blue, then green then black, if you still have that gray lines in your screen then it's an LCD issue.
