Magnet in Inspiron 5379?
Just realized there are two magnets along the edges of the keyboard.
My question is, Occasionally I have my phone resting on the palm rest. Can this cause any harm to my phone?

Just realized there are two magnets along the edges of the keyboard.
My question is, Occasionally I have my phone resting on the palm rest. Can this cause any harm to my phone?

Welcome to the Dell Community @futurefunk
They should not cause any damage but they and the laptop may interfere with reception.
By the way there may also be a magnet around the LCD bezel. "Lower Left or Right hand corner."
When the lid is closed the magnet trips a reed switch that turns off the display.
